Preston looks good but there are too many who don’t. I like that you are in the middle. We can’t see your healthy torso but assume based on your narrative that life still has many surprises for all of us. Life is like a thesaurus; keep up the good work!
MG - Thank you for such a thoughtful writing. I am especially thankful the reunion was perhaps the impetus. At previous reunions, I suffered from the "envy" but also how I might appear to other classmates. Both were reduced at this reunion - although in truth, I was anxious about my golf game. Luckily Finley and Cooper reduced that anxiety! But my great regret is the numerous classmates that did not attend because of feelings and experiences over 50 years ago. First, I pray for those absent that these sour memories fade into irrelevance . Second, I assure them that the respect we have for all our classmates from 50 years ago has dramatically increased - if only because of courageously facing the life and age issues you so accurately describe.
Keep writing MG - While I am sure it is a great outlet for you, ultimately it is more beneficial to us the reader.
Thanks Brett for you kind and thoughtful remarks.
